Scrappy Fun...

Friday night I played scrapbook. I was able to create my Mother's day cards (including the grandmothers), & 6 LO's. Crazy...but if you've ever scrapped with me - you know that I just put it all together quickly - & usually I'm happy with the result. Here's what I came up with (don't look too carefully at this picture Faith). :)

Happy Wednesday!

More Nephews...

As a proud aunt - I just can't help myself. Here are some more cute photos of my nephews from the weekend.

Eli biting mommy's toe. Why? Who knows - he's 1 1/2...probably just because he can. :)

Meeting Silas...

On Saturday morning we headed to Bremerton, WA to meet our newest nephew (& visit our brother & sister-in-law & oldest nephew). We had a WONDERFUL time with them - as always - & got lots of baby time. Kim was very gracious about sharing her precious angel, & I/we were more than happy to have him as much as we could. Here are some shots from our weekend of fun.

Isn't he adorable!?! He was so much fun. He doesn't really understand what's happened to his world, but he's handling it well. On Saturday night we played hide & seek, which really meant I chased him & would hide from him around corners. He would giggle with delight when he 'found' me. It was great game. Kim & I had some great chats while I was there too. It was really nice to spend some quality time with them. We can't wait to do it again soon. Thanks again for opening your home to us & for sharing your precious boys with us - we love them (& you). :)

52 Card Scrap-up & more...

This week's prompt was issued by My Andrea. Her prompt was: What inspires your creativity?

Here is my card:

Front

Clearly My Erin & Andrea inspire 85% of what I do. Speaking of that...a few weeks ago Erin did a challenge where she used numbers to make a list. I LOVED it - so this weekend while scrapping with My Nicole I created a list of my favorite OPI nail polish colors & names. Shocking I know - but I thought it was perfect to have a page about nail polish since I'm captain of nail polish (self proclaimed).

More Photos...

Let's see how many blog posts I can get from my LO's this weekend & Nellie's birthday... :)

I did a 'confessions' page on Saturday at Nicole's. I took 2 photos (one close-up) so you can read the confessions if you feel compelled. Once again, the page was inspired by My Erin (shocking - I know).

Here are Kaden, Nellie, & Payton with their animals. There were 3 other kiddos at the party including my other niece...not sure where they were for this photo.

Nellie wearing her new 'Chloe apron' from My Andrea. She *loves* it - & it's SOOO adorable. Thank you Andrea for making this for her - she will enjoy it for a very long time.

Come back later for more photos...

My Weekend...

This weekend was spent with lots of friends & family. Friday night we joined two other couples for dinner & some fun girls shopping.

Saturday morning I went to visit a good friend of mine that had a baby a few weeks ago. I got to hold the baby, play with two of my fabulous friends, & watch snow fall! What a great deal. :) After lunch with the girls, I packed up my scrapbook supplies & headed to Corvallis to play with my BBS (biggest blog stalker). We managed to scrap A LOT, do a fun canvas project, eat great food, have wonderful conversations, & paint nails. Seriously, what more could a girl ask for?

Sunday was spent at church - then home for a delish omelette & quick nap - then up to Vancouver for Nellie's 5th birthday party. We had a wonderful time celebrating our niece & I think Nellie had a ball. The party was at Build A Bear with her friends. Then we went back to my sisters house where she had made a dragon cake. It was SOOO cute (see pic below) & also very delish.
The grown-ups hung out in the living room & chatted while the kids played happily in the girls' room. It was a perfect evening. A wonderful weekend - just a little too short...

Snow & Hopes For Last Week...

On April 20th, 2008 - we awoke to this...

You can't tell in this photo, but it was still snowing - it continued to snow until after 10 am. Yesterday it hailed at least 7 times throughout the day, after snow fell in the morning. It also rained yesterday (& today) & was sunny. Crazy...

Moving on - I forgot to post my card from last week. The prompt was: This week I hope to...
Here's what I came up with.

My Nieces...

Yesterday after school while I was teaching a piano lesson - Laura called to ask if they could come visit. I was instantly thrilled that they were coming - as I hadn't seen them since before spring break. :( They arrived a short while later & the girls played in the backyard before we headed off to Red Robin for dinner - yummm! While there, they sang happy birthday to Nellie - who will be turning 5 on Friday. 5! I can't hardly believe it.

We returned home to have a tea party with Polly Pocket, play with the new train set, & help Uncle Tim conquer the Wii. Laura also straightened my hair (yay!!!) & we painted our nails (again - yay!!).

Thank you girls for coming down - it was a perfect evening!!

Here is Mia with a surprise in her jacket...

Surprise!! It's animals everywhere!!!

52 Card 'Catch-up'

That's right - this week it's 52 card catch-up, not scrap-up. :) I'm happy to say that I'm once again caught up. I seem to save them up for 2-3 weeks, then do them all at once. We are 6 months into it - only 6 months left. This has been one of the most creative & enjoyable projects that I've been involved with - I love it. Here are my latest creations (disclaimer: I got a new butterfly punch & I'm infatuated with it right now...you may notice it's use as a common thread between all scrapbooking projects in the next few days/weeks/months/years/decades/etc):

2 weeks ago it was a "free" card. Here's what I came up with:

Last week the prompt from Erin-o was 'right here, right now'.

And I even did the card for this week - but I'll wait to post that later on in the week. It's pretty rad.

That's So...

That's right - we're bringing 'rad' back (and it's about time). You may remember my friend Victoria began this crusade a few months ago. My biggest blog stalker reminded me of it last week in a comment (gasp, I know - she commented!!) & so yesterday while we were hanging out - we made rad shirts. They are really rad.

What does this have to do with me you may be asking yourself? It's simple - I'm having a *surprise contest*. If you can give me 3 examples in a comment of how you used rad in a sentence in the 'real world' this week - you could win. I will draw names of qualified contestants on Friday. Don't worry - the prize will be rad.

Good luck!!
