Happy Halloween!!!

Last night we had a house warming party. It was optional to dress up & lots of people did, which made it even more fun. These two crazy kids came looking like this: Can you guess who they are dressed up as??!!?!?

Ready for your answer? They came dressed as us. They even brought their baby 'Eloise' (all the way from Goodwill). HA ha ha ha! I loved it. And at the end of the night - Nicole gave me her big ring. Guess what I wore today? :) Thanks for making us laugh you guys - you were hilarious!

Tonight, we took our little butterfly on her first Trick or Treating experience. We went to a few friends houses: The Wards, Acker's, Thompson's (Ben's parents - we were with Ben, Amanda, & Sophia - aka: The Ladybug), the Morgan's, & Whitehursts. So fun to visit these families & show off our little darling.

Trick or Treat was too much of a mouthful for her, so we just stuck with 'treat'. When she realized that the treats were chocolate, she was okay with it.

Happy Halloween!!

Oh The Cuteness...

A few weeks ago, Miss Amanda M. Pants & I made these 'Boo' frames based on a link Miss Knitty Bitties had sent. All of ours turned out differently & I love that. My 'Boo' is displayed proudly in our living room:

Speaking of Knitty Bitties - look what she made for ME!! Oh my word, I can't even tell you how in love with these fabrics & pillows I am. She may turn me into a sewing girl yet!! (Ok, even if she did - I don't think I will ever compare to these):

And the promise of a table runner & 3rd pillow coming soon. I can hardly take it...

A girl and Her Balloon

Last Sunday after church, Tim snapped these photos of E. I adore them. I think they capture her personality & her love of life right now. She's holding an Elmo 'ba' that 'Gaga' (read Grandma) bought for her while she was visiting. We still have her 'ba' & she plays with it daily - she loves balloons. (And Grandma). :)

Feeding her baby. Notice the pigtails are up on the sides of her head now!! So exciting.

18 Months!

Wow. 'They' say time goes so quickly when you have a little one in the house & 'they' are right. I truly can't believe that my little peach is 18 months old. She's a toddler!! I decided that when she turned 18 months old, that I can no longer count how old she is in months. I don't want to be the mother that says 'oh yes, she's 173 months old'. You know the one. That won't be me. So, for the next 30 days, my peach is 18 months old. After that, we turn to year(s). Sigh.

Here she is with her elephant. The last elephant photo was taken at 12 months. What a HUGE change in 6 months:

At 18 months Eloise is:

RUNNING everywhere. She is busy & has lots to do. Consequently, so do I.

Loves to talk. Tells you all kinds of things in a very serious voice most of the time - with an occasional growl thrown in for good measure.

Eats almost anything we give to her. She's starting to become a little picky. I'm trying to discourage that behavior.

LOVES to color. Asks to color daily & holds the crayon in her right hand, correctly. So cute.

Loves her shoes & socks. She likes to carry them around and announce their presence too.

Asks for her 'nigh-nigh' & kissy throughout the day (her lovie blanket & pacifier).

Loves to help mama with laundry & putting away dishes.

Loves to read books.

Has learned the kittie's names & likes to follow them around. 'Dee-don' doesn't love this new development.

Listens for planes & tells me about them. Also listens for lawn mowers & tells me about them too. She can even say lawn mower. :)

Weighs 23 pounds.

When going through the drive-thru at Starbucks, she says 'bye-bye' after I'm finished placing my order. Cracks me up.

She's starting to use her words to say please & thank you now. I love it. She also said 'bless you' today when I sneezed.

She learns new things daily, and it is a privilege & a joy to be her mama & get to watch this little blossom unfold. What a blessed mama I am!
