Public Service Announcement

This is a public service announcement from the Adams' family. While there has been a noticable amount of stink coming from the nether regions of a certain individual, let it be known that said odors have been cleansed from Eloise, pardon, the ever loved family member and they have now been rated 5 stars on the "Smells Pretty" scale.

This ends our public service announcement. Visitation may now resume.

At least some of us are getting sleep this week. The rest of the pictures will be up here by morning.

So you'd like to see more of Ella

While negotiations with Ms Eloise were hard, she has agreed to allow us to post more pictures to share with her loving public. You can find a small sampling here and more will be uploaded to the same location in the future.

Poor Little Piggies...

I said I wasn't going to document these poor little piggies...but peer pressure at school today & the prompting of some of my teacher friends persuaded me take photos of these little piggies...this is after an 11 1/2 hour day at school today:

Maybe one day I'll look back on these little pigs & laugh. Maybe not...

Week 36 - Here We Go...

Greetings! I have a few sneak peaks for you of the nursery, as well as an updated belly shot. This is my final week at school & I must say, I'm awfully sad. Normally on this blog you would see a countdown starting for the end of the school year, right about now. This year, I'm ending sooner than everyone else & it feels weird & not something that I'm excited about at all. Wednesday will be my last day with my students, then I have parent/teacher conferences Wed. night & all day Thursday. That's it. Thursday - will be my last day. So strange. So...no countdown to summer this year - I'm just hoping these next few days go quickly, as I'm dreading them greatly.

That being said - here are the sneaks of the nursery (which will *hopefully* be finished by this weekend) & a week 36 baby belly:

Yes, I am as tired as I look... :) (Notice the wall & adorable chair-rail behind me - part of the sneak peek)  PS Does anyone know how to spell chair-rail?

The curtain & curtain rod...

And my adorable diaper bag. Any guesses where it came from? :)

And a HUGE thank you to My Andrea & My Nicole for all of their help with the nursery, painting, organizing, you name it - they did it. Thanks to them, I am *almost* ready for baby...

For the Record...

I've been having very vivid & crazy dreams. Apparently that goes along with pregnancy...(doesn't anything weird?). So I thought I would write these dreams down so I remember them & who knows - maybe it will make you laugh too - they are rather whack-o-doodle...

A few weeks ago, poor Andrea & I were being chased around Meridian by 2 sugar trucks. Yes, that's right - sugar trucks. They were carrying white & brown sugar. They needed my cookie recipe. Yes, I said MY cookie recipe. Probably because I'm such a famous baker. Anyhoo, Andrea & I were very frightened & running for our lives until my dream was interrupted by a need to use the bathroom. Whew - the bathroom saves the day again - the sugar trucks didn't get us, or my famous cookie recipe.

And Bethany, you should know that I'm sorry that we missed our bus taking us to dinner & Disneyland. Had I known that we were going to miss the bus, we wouldn't have been late. So there's no need to be upset with me - I missed dinner & Disneyland too... :)

It's Official...

...and the secret is finally out - Nicole & Jim are engaged!!!

Last weekend was Nicole's birthday. Beth & I along with now fiance Jim - planned a surprise for her that beats all surprises. Jim told us about 6 months ago of his plan to surprise Nicole for her birthday & propose. Beth & I's job was to distract her & act like we had plans to keep her busy all weekend, while not spoiling anything. It's been very hard to keep my trap shut for these past 6 months from one of my closest friends - I'm so glad that I can finally say it now - they're engaged!! :) Jim & Nicole did a fabulous job of recounting the story on their blog - so for a better & more detailed account of what happened, check it out  here

Let's Paint The Town Red...

...or at least Ella's nursery pink & white...

Yesterday, my fabulous friends Nicole & Andrea painted Ella's nursery for us. Nicole came over bright & early & the girls got started. While they painted, I sorted her clothes & accessories. By the end of the day, errands had been run, the nursery had been painted, the clothes had been sorted & washed,  the guest room had been transformed into the beginnings of a baby's room, & some of the furniture had even been painted. Here are some pictures of the process. I don't have any pictures of the final product yet - because it's not done...maybe by next weekend.

Thank you Nicole & Andrea for ALL of your time & help yesterday. You girls outdid yourselves - & we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts!!

Hello?

Is anyone still reading this? Is anyone still posting to this (that may be the real question). Yes, I am here. I've been trying for about 1 hour tonight to upload pictures to post, but Picasa isn't having it & now I'm crabby, so I'm not having it either...so here you are - a new post from a crabby host. :)

Today our school celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday. We celebrated in style by inviting our students to dress up as a book character or in their PJ's. I chose to be 'Thing 1' & 'Thing 2' all by myself. Ella was labeled as 'Thing 2'. It was rather entertaining & I took pictures & everything - but no - they won't load. Ah well. Maybe another day this week I can post them?

My sister came over yesterday & spent the night & then today here. It was SO nice to have her & the girlies around. I now have new hair, massaged toes & a prego-pedi was tonight's treat. Thank you again Laura for coming & for all of the pampering that you did! (Not to mention her help & the girls' help with cleaning!!).

I have some exciting news that I'd love to share, but I'll wait for the keeper of said exciting news to post to her blog first. When she does - I'll let you know - but I'm about to burst, so I hope she has time soon!!

This week marks week 34 for me - 42 days left...(I also had an updated belly picture to share, but no such luck tonight - not that I'm bitter or anything...). :)
