Elijah Turns One!

This past weekend we went to Seattle to be with my brother & sister-in-law & our nephew Elijah for his first birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time with our family & their friends. Elijah's party was very fun & he got some very cool new toys - I'm sure he will have a blast with them in the months to come. Elijah & I bonded and we decided that he had a crush on me. When I would walk into a room he would stare at me waiting for me to entertain him, which I was more than happy to do. Thank you Jeff & Kim for a fun birthday weekend!! Here are some photos from our weekend:

Confession...

...I like cheeseburgers. Yes, I'm serious. It started about a month ago - and since I hadn't eaten one for about 10 years, it was kind of a big deal. I was in denial about it for a while - thinking it would pass, but Monday when Tim took me to lunch, I suggested a place that sells cheeseburgers, just so I could get one. And it was delish...

There, I said it.

Wedding Photos Part II

Here are a few more pictures from the wedding this past weekend. Several of you requested pictures of Mark & Laura. Unfortunately, I don't have any of them together - so you'll have to settle for separate pictures of them. :) Enjoy!

Nellie ran up to Mark & gave him a hug as soon as she was done with her flower petals...very sweet...

Weekend Update...

My goodness what a busy weekend we had.

Friday afternoon I drove down to Corvallis to play with Nicole & Beth. While driving I chatted on the phone to Miss Erin - it was a great evening of catching up. Once at Nicole's we made dinner, played Mexican Train, painted toes, & watched 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Nicole had not seen it yet *gasp*! It was a lovely evening of girlie time & playing. We all stayed the night but poor Nicole had to be out the door the next day at 7:15am. Beth & I waved quietly from our beds...

Saturday morning we cleaned up the house before leaving & I headed to the Wagner's house. Mark's youngest brother was getting married on Saturday & Laura was doing hair for lots of people so I was in charge of my babies. I only had both girls for a little while as Nellie was dropped off at the hotel by 11:00 so she too could get ready (she was a flower girl). Mia & I had a great time hanging out with Aunt Holly & baby Addi the rest of the morning. After Mia's nap, we headed to the church for family photos & the wedding. The Wagners asked Tim & I to sit with them, as they said we are part of their family now, I thought that was very sweet. So we enjoyed the wedding from the 2nd row. It was a beautiful ceremony, the bride & groom looked very happy, & my sister sang the most beautiful song. I've heard her sing a million times but this was the best I've ever heard her. I was very proud of her (plus she looked pretty too!).
After the reception, it was up to Portland for us. We stayed at a hotel Saturday night because Tim's parents were getting in to the airport at the untimely hour of 7:15 am the next day. Our hotel room was fancy & super fun...I just wish that we hadn't been so tired. I climbed into bed with my new People magazine at 9:00 and was asleep before 10:00. :)

Sunday began early!! I don't like getting up early on any summer day but especially a Sunday. It was worth it though, we went & picked up Faith & Richard. We drove back to Salem, went to church & then headed to Eugene to meet Tim's brother Randy & his girlfriend for lunch. We went to PF Chang's & then back to their house for a tour. We hung out there for a bit & then went to see Blades of Glory. It was ridiculous & hilarious - very entertaining. Plus...we only paid $1.50 each, so it was totally worth it.

After hundreds of miles of running up and down the freeway, we headed home. We were thrilled to be home last night, just hanging out doing nothing, and not being in the car. :)

Deal of the Day...

Yesterday Laura & the girls came over for the day. We had lunch, played nails, went shopping, made dinner, went shopping again (this time for jammies so little girls could sleep over) & some great sister bonding time. Today (as you may know) is Laura's birthday, so I was very excited to have her stay the night on the eve of her special day.

Last night after the girls went to bed, Laura & I ventured to Target for a cute top for me & we stumbled upon the clearance section with this tent in it. It was only $6.00 for this adorable little house. When we got home, we set it up in the living room so the girls would find it this morning when the awoke. It took us a few minutes to get it all up, but once it was done - we had fun playing in it! Wow - a tent that's fun for big girls & little girls, what a deal!!

(Did I mention the cats liked it too?)

Happy Birthday Laura!!

Happy birthday to my favorite sister. I hope you have a wonderful day full of love, laughter, & celebration (& maybe a little extra nap time from your girls). :) Enjoy your evening out tonight! Happy birthday!! I love you!!!

Head Bands

Here they are - in all of their glory. :) Andrea also helped me make a black one with a green flower for Laura for her birthday. Andrea was the sewing queen & I was in charge of putting on the flowers. Maybe we'll start a business...

*Silly Piacasa won't let me put all of the photos on at once, so you will need to look at the post above to see the rest of the photos. Technology...*

I'm Back...

Is anyone else tired of looking at the 'early 4th of July' post? I am...but I've been too busy having fun to update - please accept my apology. Here's the fun I've been having:

July 3rd Tim & I flew to Boise to play. Each summer I get to spend a week with 'My Andrea' & we have girlie time. This year Tim was also able to come, which was fabulous. The five of us had a great time hanging out enjoying each other's company.

We also visited with Tim's parents while we were there. I don't have any pictures from that - but we had a nice day with them.

Andrea & I with our sparklers

One day, we got very ambitious & made our own headbands out of ribbon. I will take a picture of the finished product soon & post. They are super cute if I do say so myself. :) Here is Andrea working away...

Tim came home before I did - I spent 3 days visiting my parents. When I got to the airport on Wednesday, Tim was waiting for me with this bouquet. He's so romantic.

Andrea & I also made mini-albums while I was there. She posted hers on here the other day - I still need to put pictures in mine & when it's finished I too will post it. So much fun.

Thank you again Andrea for having me - what a wonderful week it was!
